KLBA Celebrates Badminton Development at Inaugural Appreciation Night

KLBA hosted its first-ever Appreciation Night to honor the dedication and contributions of individuals and organizations supporting grassroots badminton development in Kuala Lumpur.
The event recognized key stakeholders who played a vital role in advancing KLBA’s initiatives, particularly the Projek Jejak Juara 2022-2027 (PJJ).
A highlight was the KLBA Leadership Award presented to Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, recognizing his instrumental leadership as KLBA President (2010-2017).

KLBA President, Dato’ Sri Dr. Jahaberdeen Mohamed Yunoos also announced a new collaboration between KLBA and the Akademi Kecergasan Pertahanan, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) to provide sports science, physiology, and fitness expertise to enhance athlete performance.
The Appreciation Night also recognized the achievements of Kuala Lumpur’s young players, celebrating their five gold, one silver, and six bronze medals at the Junior Elite 1 2025 tournament in Melaka.
